Leo Alfano (レオ アルファーノ) is part of a vigilante group. He is the son of the Lion Goddess, which was a name given to his mother by the Seven Guardians. He is also the main protagonist of the story and so he appears in the first chapter.
Leo Alfano is a boy with neat silver hair, orchid eyes and he has pretty light skin tone. He is usually seen wearing formal clothes, as of representing that he is part of the vigilante group.
He is usually unemotional, without a smile. His composure, appearance and posture are all calm, as seen when threatened by Daikouten, he still stays determined and standing on his feet. He also approaches Daikouten in a calm matter and tells him with no emotion plastered on his face that the food he made initially for Ebisu was really good.
Leo seemed to have had a rough past. It is seen in Chapter 1 of a flashback of Leo against the wall of his house, frightened and sobbing, while two people approach him with guns in each of their hands. As soon as he was about to get shot, his mother (the Lion Goddess) ran in front of Leo and acted like a shield as she took the two bullet shots, thus causing her death.
Chapter 1: Blonde Boy and Flapping Snapper Edit
Leo is first seen at the beginning of the chapter at the Airport Terminal 1. He is walking with his formal attire and has a suitcase next to him as he mutters that the place he is in is the country of the gods, Japan. He mentally introduces himself: saying he is bilingual: his father is Italian, while his mother is Japanese. He claims he has a mission during his time in Japan: to summon his deceased mother's 'Supreme Seven Guardians' to Italy, however as he was recalling his mission, he didn't seem to notice that he was being watched by mysterious capped men, two of them.
He then explains that his family business is being mafias, otherwise known as vigilantes.
Soon after, the mysterious men confront Leo, one of them grabbing Leo and using his other hand to put over Leo's mouth, while the other man holds a gun to the side of his head. One of the men then state that he must be Alfano's family Leo Alfano. The other man then calls Leo a bastard as he says Leo's family has brought his family to destruction, and continues saying about how careless it is to send their precious son all alone to Japan without a guard. At first he seems to start to submit, however then he flips the man over, surprising the other man.
People then start staring at the door where the mens' screams were heard. Soon, Leo brings a gun up to one of the men's head, inquiring him on whether he was part of the Montagna family or not. The man replied yes, with Leo then saying: 'Don't blame us for the ruin of your family. You should pay for the sin you committed, for harming regular civilians.' He then adds that he doesn't need a guard, as he doesn't need to be protected by anyone.
The man bursts out in fear before Leo shoots a unloaded gun, stating that he was just kidding. He then adds: 'you're not worth wasting a single bullet on. You guys are even more of a nuisance than a despiteful cockroach.'
Soon he arrives at his deceased mother's home. He then opens the door a little cautiously before he walks in and opens the side door, leading to a yard. He then thinks to himself that the house he is in now has clues about the 'Supreme Seven Guardians.'
Soon he goes back inside, and something catches his attention: a framed picture of his mom. He gets a flashback, with his mother holding Leo as a baby, a smile on her face as she says her name. He comes back to reality as he murmurs '.....Mother...'
Soon he feels as though he's being stared at, so he turns around, to find a scroll with mysterious people painted on the scroll. He then mutters that he thought he had sensed something as he approaches the scroll in a cautious manner.
He then finds what he thinks is an enemy, and so he grabs the gun, and without hesitation, shoots his enemy and the scroll, swearing in Italian and inquires to himself on why his worst enemy is in Japan.
After he shoots, he asks himself if he finished it, however the scroll then seems to waver, and the people in the scroll seem to come out, surprising Leo greatly, leaving him speechless.
Soon enough, glowing things surround Leo as he shields himself. He is then in a crouched position, both hands on the side of his head and his eyes squeezed shut. He then opens his eyes and confusedly asked what just happened.
Abruptly, a voice speaks from behind him, causing him to open his eyes widely in surprise. He gains back his composure as he turns around, taking his hands off his head, and the first thing he sees is a fish.
He then notices a boy sitting on the fish. In his right hand he held a fishing rod made of bamboo. They find each other staring at each other, until he shoots him with his gun. He seems surprised that he shot the boy in front of him, and claims that he wasn't thinking.
However, much to Leo's surprise, the boy stands up with the bullet in his mouth and smoking, and asks what was that for, while Leo is left speechless.
Leo is surprised as he stammers: 'y-you you are...!?' while the boy replies to forget it, he can't die, the reason being is that he is a god.
Leo then widens his eyes at the boy's claim as he repeats it with eyes showing unbelief. The boy replied: 'yeah. And because of you trigger happy shot the scroll, everyone split.'
Leo then replies in surprise: 'the picture of the Seven Guardians is gone...!?' He then falls to his knees, stating that he can't believe this, until a buzz of his phone sounds and he picks up.
The voice shouts Leo's name frantically while Leo replies: 'Marco? F-Father!? Something strange is going on...!'
The man replies and says that Leo's father fell stepping on a banana peel and states that he is in the hospital. Leo is surprised to hear the news and Marco then continues to say that the stock has fallen and they have discovered a spy and a traitor within them, and also Leo's pet, Margarita has gone missing.
The fisher boy then explains that it's all because Leo has chased away the Gods of Luck that his family is slowly collapsing, and then adds (much to Leo's despair) that he has 'really dropped his luck.'
Marco then adds a message from Leo's father: 'hurry and bring the Seven Guardians. If you don't...I will drown you deep in the venetian river.'
The call then ends, Leo doesn't say anything, with the fisher boy staring at him indifferently.
The fisher boy adds seriously: 'now you appreciate the existence of us the seven lucky gods?'
Leo turns around in surprise as he repeats what he said, adding if the fisher boy meant the Supreme Seven Guardians, with the fisher boy confirming it.
The fisher boy then introduces himself in front of Leo as Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, otherwise known as one of the Supreme Seven Guardians.
Leo then inquires himself in a incredulous way that their family is in the hand of the suspicious fish-guy, to which Ebisu ignores his comment and asks where are all the people of the house after trapping him in the scroll.
Before Leo could reply, he is almost shot with a bullet. Leo turns to see two members of the Montagna family. Leo then mutters to himself that this isn't good, as he's been tracked by Montagna, while Ebisu asks who they are.
One of the members replies that he'd love to make a cute face but he then adds that Leo should die for him while lifting his gun, with Leo running away, shoving Ebisu in the process.
Ebisu then follows him, with the member saying in a amusing voice not to run away as he shoots his gun, which makes a thin cut on Leo's cheeck, thus making him wince in slight pain.
Leo then curses to himself that he used all his bullets on the cockroach behind the scroll, and quickly after his thought, Ebisu grabs his attention by saying 'hey.'
